SURGERY ARRANGEMENTS DURING CORONAVIRUS CRISIS
To all our patients,
Our thoughts are with you and your families during this Coronavirus crisis. We want to assure you that we are open and here to care for you.
Your health and well-being are always of huge importance to us, and even more especially now during this difficult time.
We ask that everyone contact reception by phone initially, rather than coming without prior contact. In this way, reception can consider how best to help you, either by offering an appointment or recommending a call back from one of the doctors. There can be delays in returning calls but we will always get to you and can be of help to you.
If your call relates to possible infection with Covid 19, we will be able to asses and advise over the phone, and arrange testing if indicated.
It is important during this time that people do not neglect other medical issues – new or old. If you or any of your household are experiencing new symptoms or a change in general well-being, including mental health, this needs care and attention. If you have any medical concerns, we urge you to ring in.
Many issues can be dealt with by phone or video consultation, but we are certainly seeing people in person, providing they are clear of Covid 19 symptoms. We are maintaining normal care of all pregnant women and newborns, including childhood vaccinations, and caring for all those with cancer and chronic illness.
Please be assured that we have systems in place to keep everyone safe while visiting the practice. We have kept very tight control on the premises since the outset, using cleaning techniques after every patient visit, limiting the duration of consultations to 15 minutes, personal protection equipment for the clinical staff, and use of masks.
We are making greater use of technology to help with paperwork and administration. Prescriptions can be sent directly to your pharmacy by secure email; certs and letters can be emailed directly to you. Payments can be made in person or by calling reception.
We are here for you and send best wishes for your health and safety.
From all at Castle Medical Centre.
